The advertisements for free DIY website builders are all over the internet. With such flashy promises, it’s quite common for people to stop availing the services of web designers. However, the reality is entirely different from what the advertisements promise. It is always better to hire a professional to do the job for you instead of going with the drag and drop builders. Here are the reasons why:
- It is not easy as advertised: Watching some random guys create a stunning website in a minute or two looks promising and secure. But, as you start using these builders, you will understand that it is not as easy as it looked. You still need web designing skills to get good results.
- Hidden charges: The offer of a free website doesn’t mean you get whatever you want. There will be a non-professional domain name, and many useful features will need extra payment to use on your website. The number of pages and the cloud space will also be limited in the free package.
- Lack of technical support: Websites may end up having some technical issues at times. With a DIY builder, you will have to fix everything on your own too. But, if you have a web designing service already hired, you can get unlimited support on the technical issues making your life easier.
- Lack of SEO: Making your website optimized to rank better is becoming non-negotiable day by day. But the free builders won’t offer good SEO options like what a professional designer does.
SEO blog typically contain articles that share information on how to optimize a website in order to rank higher in search engine results pages (serps). The blog posts often include tips and insights on what Google considers valuable for rankings.
